Four of our creative writing students will be showcasing the work of UCC’s MA and PhD creative writing programmes at the West Cork Literary Festival this week.http://www.westcorkmusic.ie/literaryfestival/

PhD candidate Niamh Prior will join Anna Foley, Tadhg Coakley and Julian Munoz in a reading of their work at the Bantry event on Friday, July 22. Anna and Tadhg are currently working hard on their MA dissertations, while Julian, who hails from Florida in the US,  is on a Uversity programme with UCC.

Uversity, set up in 2013,  allows postgraduate students to personalise their own Master of Arts in Creative Process programme, by choosing modules from 24 universities, institutes of technology and independent colleges across Ireland. http://www.uversity.org/

The readers were chosen in an open competition and the entries were adjudicated by our Writer-in-Residence, dramatist Michael West.

The reading is part of a spotlight on UCC’s creative writing programme at the festival, which will also include a general information session on our courses. Associate Director of Creative Writing, Mary Morrissy, and the student readers, will be on hand to answer questions on the day.

The reading takes place on Friday, July 22 at 3.30pm at Bantry Courthouse,
