Join PhD poetry candidate Kathy D’Arcy next week  for the launch of Beyond Words, a collection of creative writing and art from Shine, the organisation supporting the rights and needs of those affected by mental health issues. https://www.shine.ie/about-us/

Kathy is the author of two poetry collections – Encounter and The Wild Pupil. http://www.kathydarcy.com/  She is currently completing a Creative Writing PhD in UCC, where she teaches with the Women’s Studies and Creative Writing departments.  She has been facilitating a creative group involving members and staff at Shine’s Basement Resource Centre on Washington Street, Cork, and the collection is the culmination of a year’s work. The collection contains a range of poems, short stories, expression pieces and art work.

Shine CEO, John Saunders, will launch the collection and there will be readings from the book at the event on Thursday, April 13, 6pm, Cork Central Library.  All welcome.
