UCC President Patrick O’Shea launches the first of our four-part Poetry Reading Series – curated by creative writing lecturer Leanne O’Sullivan – next Monday, when two award-winning poets Mary O Malley (Galway) and Monika Rinck (Germany) will read together. Admission is free and all are welcome!

Mary O’Malley has published seven award winning books of poetry, most recently Playing the Octopus which was published by Carcanet Press. She is a member of Aosdána.
Monika Rinck is a German poet, translator and essayist who has been awarded many prizes and honours for her work, in Kleist Prize in 2015 and the Peter Huchel Prize for her collection Honigprotokolle (2012). She lives in Berlin.
